Hollywood Invades the Hamptons
The Hamptons Golf and Country Club in Lakeland is a self-described “very active 55+ community in the heart of Florida.” They have a full calendar of activities ranging from a singles club to golf, bingo, bunco, and bridge.
One of the most popular activities is the Hampton Choraliers, a mixed chorus that specializes in singing four-part harmonies. They entertain the Hamptons community with two shows per year — a Christmas concert and a spring show. The chorus of 50 members rehearse twice a week for six months and their efforts result in a lot of laughter and applause. LkldTV stopped by this year’s spring show, an original work entitled “Hollywood Invades the Hamptons,“ written by Nancy Barry and composed by Marty Pieper.
